MIND
The needs and experiences of people with mental distress drive our work and we make sure their voice is heard by those who influence change. Our independence gives us the freedom to stand up and speak out on the real issues that affect daily lives. We provide information and support, campaign to improve policy and attitudes and, in partnership with independent local Mind associations, develop local services. We do all this to make it possible for people who experience mental distress to live full lives, and play their full part in society. Registered Charity No. 219830 MindinfoLine

Although these addresses are kept confidential some people prefer to remain completely anonymous. If you visit www.hotmail.com or www.talk21.com you can choose an address that does not identify you, which you will be able to access from any computer and will be protected by a password so no-one else can access it. Language LineWe use Language Line, the telephone translation and interpreting service with access to more than 100 languages. The three-way conferencing facility enables information staff to communicate effectively through a trained interpreter in minutes, making MindinfoLine accessible to many people whose first language is not English. Who we areThe service is run by a dedicated team of specialists, responding to more than 20,000 enquiries a year. Topics range from types of mental distress, where to get help and drug treatments, to alternative therapies, who's who in mental health services and advocacy. We have an extensive library and have produced over 100 booklets and factsheets, which are updated regularly to give the latest information on mental health issues. Our database contains details of local Mind associations and other organisations so people can find help in their own areas. What we do…
What we don't do
Our feesMind is a charity and we rely on your financial support to keep MindinfoLine open. We are happy to provide a free service for people who are unwaged, and our factsheets and booklets are available to download from our website. However, in order to continue our work, we ask that those who are able to pay for the material that we send, would consider sending us a donation. Such donations will enable us to maintain a service that is available to everybody.
