My Normal Mood

Of the 3 moods, mania, normal and depressed it is the normal mood that is hardest for me to define.  Normal has to have the biggest range of emotions just as the whole mood spectrum of someone without the illness will encompass ups and downs so does a bipolars normal mood. The sufferer and their family and friends have always to be on the lookout for excessive extremes exhibited by the sufferer. I can be very up within my normal mood and I suppose it is only if I am up for say 2 weeks or longer that I could be hypermanic.

When I am in the normal range I am cheerful, agreeable and considerate.  I tackle jobs and see them through and wouldn't make spur of the moment decisions of a life changing nature without thinking them through properly. Dithering over decisions is now part of my life as I have made spur of the moment decisions when high and also when depressed so now I try to wait until my mood is normal! Not easy.
